I've had quite an eventful last couple of days which was great! I love keeping busy and making the most of my holiday.
So sunday, we went out on a little family outing to introduce to my family some of the cafes in surry hills. There was quite a bit of walking to do since the first one i wanted to go to, had a long wait and the second one was closed so we had to settle for reuben hills which was not too bad. I believe they were quite satisfied with their meals which is nice to see. Then we strolled back to chinatown, did some quick grocery shopping and off we were home.

monday, went over to henry's place and basically was just being lazy and figuring out what we should eat. Henry made the most delicious bacon and egg muffins with tomato relish, avocado and cheese. nom nom nom. then we just watched a movie and umm yeah, twas lots of fun. ;)

tuesday (ie yesterday), i was suppose to have a free day to spend with my sister because she wanted to go out and buy some things for her friend's birthday this friday but i got a last minute call into work so off i was to work! i wasn't complaining considering i needed the money anyway. :P and what better than to work with my good friend michelle! straight after work, i was spontaneously invited to go to a hiphop dance class with christina at the sydney dance company. we got completely lost on the way there and the dark sky and rain was not helping but we managed to find it. The class was heaps fun as we grooved to a michael jackson song however the warm up before hand was like the worst workout ever! we did heaps of stretches which were quite hard followed by an ab workout. ie a whole load of situps. that killed my abs for sure. afterwards, we did had a quick dinner and went home. it was definitely a good catch up day with my girl.

wednesday (ie today), my girls from highschool and i went bike riding around manly. we were a bit worried about the weather but it turned out lovely in the afternoon which was perfect! we rode along the beach which was very pretty and relaxing. the breeze was just right. not too windy but not too humid. afterwards, we stopped for lunch and then right after lunch, back on the track but this time we rode to north head which consisted of lots of uphills. i was not fit enough to ride them so it was very tiring but the end result was definitely worth it. we saw lovely views of the sydney harbour and the water views were amazing. it was so clear and beautiful. we topped the day off with some icecream from crinitis before we headed back to the city all drained of energy, not to mention the amount of pain we were in. especially my ass. it hurts just sitting now and typing this.

anyway, thats been my very eventful day so far. oh and i forgot to mention, our results from semester 1 of uni came out and i am absolutely gobsmacked. I did so brilliantly well. not to brag but i've never done so well in uni ever! my average of all my subjects was an HD which was something i definitely was not expecting. so i was over the moon when i saw what i had got. a 92 in statistics. i dont even know how to begin to explain how i got that.

alright, enough of my ramble. i havent had a good long ramble in a while. it feels good to put all that memory into solid permanent words. that way i can improve my memory maybe? idk. haha. okay thats it.

a lazy thursday afternoon | (0)
We are deep into mid year break and I'm definitely enjoying it. embracing the fact that i dont have to worry about university and all things assignment like. I guess I've been trying to keep myself as busy as possible and not waste my time at home, but with that, comes lots of money being spent which is not fun considering i dont even work that much during the holidays. In fact, I'll only be working one day next week and I'm not even getting paid that much. I guess I can't get the best of both worlds.

So what have I been up to? Well been catching up with friends. Went to the blacktown drive in cinemas which was super cool and retro and watched 2 movies there til like 1.45am. 22 jump st is the best! I recommend it anyday. Finished reading fault in our stars and watched it and yes I'm guilty of a few tears when both reading and watching it. :'( I went to a 21st which was super super fun partying with a few of my aspire friends. and Ive been visiting henry's place and baked with him til midnight which was super duper fun too!

With just over 2 weeks before uni starts i really don't want to go back just yet. I'm having so much fun being carefree and spontaneous! if only there was a job or career path and encompasses those features. If there is, please sign me up!

Alrighty, back to being lazy and maybe watch the last episode of game of thrones season 4. zomgomgzomgzomg!

So i bought a book yesterday. and i'm completely addicted to it. I feel like i'm reading the book too fast and that it'll all end soon but i don't want it to. This rarely happens. usually i would start a book and never finish it but i figured since I bought it, i have to finish it.

Its a metaphor. See: you put the killing thing right between your teeth. But you don't give it the power to do its killing.

semesters overr! | (0)
semester 1 of 2014 is pretty much over! I can't believe it. It has gone so quickly! just another 2 final exams to go before im actually freee! I can't wait. So what has been happening this past month?

Well, my memory isnt too great but i believe the past couple of weeks has been about doing assignments and stuff for uni. I remember my week 12 being a nightmare of assignments. 80% of assessments due on week 12. I dont even know how i managed so i'm very impressed. I hope i did well on those assignments. I'm a very high achiever so I will be very disappointed if  i didn't do well.

So i went vivid yesterday with Henry. it was heaps fun! He took me to this nice and cosy italian restaurant at the rocks and the service and food was lovely. then of course, checked out the exhibitions they had on for the vivid light festival. some of them were quite pretty and creative. We even tried the messina pop up store that everyone's been hyping up about. it was okay. Probably wouldve tasted better if 1. it wasn't raining and 2. i wasn't so full. but nonetheless a lovely evening! Couldn't have spent it with anyone else!

I've been doing a work experience program at a private psyc clinic in Bondi which has been interesting and fascinating. and the exciting news is that we've moving offices next week so im excited to work in a new environment. I love new things!

Work has been the usual at Boost. I'd like to think I'm getting better and better as Team Leader every week which i think is a good thing ! :) But im afraid i might have to cut short my Boost Team Leader career after next semester because i dont think having a job during honours would be beneficial, especially considering my parents can be my source of income. I'm definitely going to miss Boost a lot when i leave.

I also attended my friend, Nina's 21st birthday party the other week. It was so much fun! especially all the free alcohol. haha I think only the psyc group of friends (including me) were the ones dancing. all her other friends and family were just sitting around and chatting. but we couldnt care less! there was music and a dancefloor so why not dance and have fun! very enjoyable night.

So thats whats been happening with me lately. More exciting things to come! This year is going way to quickly but i'm definitely enjoying every moment of it!

where have you been ? | (0)
lets just say i lied when i said i was going to try and blog more this year. its my third year of uni and being the idiot I am, i decided to bite off more than i can chew. What i really mean is, ive been trying to judge being a full time uni student, work, work experience and a few volunteering programs like aspire, street team and peer mentoring. ive learnt my lesson and next semester i definitely will not be doing as much. i can't believe i thought i was capable to judging all that.

A lot has happened from my last post to now, i've got a boyfriend now, went to heaps of events and parties that were super fun, assignments have been a bitch and still is and yeah, overall its been a good half the year. i can't wait for the holidays. I think i'll have many things planned.

Again, no promises, but i'll see if i can blog a bit more. I should definitely get back to my essay that ive been putting off all morning.

roses are red | (0)
believe it or not, but this valentines day was the first time i got a rose from someone. i know that sounds somewhat ridiculous but its actually quite touching. so i had work on valentines day and after work, i went to have dinner with henry. i felt so bad because i was so late but when i turned up, he was a holding a rose. i definitely wasnt expecting that.

the food was delicious! very nice italian restaurant and not cheap either, probably because it was valentines day. it was a 5 course meal with tea/coffee at the end. typical italians and there endless courses. haha. the craziest thing was that he paid for the dinner. 79 dollars per person, are you kidding me?! that definitely made my day.

afterwards, we just walked around the city, darling harbour was filled with couple making out everywhere. typical. haha. overall, very memorable night. :)

This week, its been busy busy busy as usual. Monday was my weekday off, tuesday and wednesday i went to uni for work and an early aspire workshop. getting dem hours done early. and besides it was kinda fun. :) Had a meeting at work on tuesday which was fun. Jodie who's from the Erina store came to our store and trained the team leaders including myself. it was very helpful. i even got a really late birthday cake at the meeting which was nice. :D

I also went for the green Ps yesterday (wednesday) in the morning before work. Twas quite worried that 1. i was going to fail and 2. i was going to be late to the test. Even when i got there, i was rushing to fill in the form because i had got there JUST in time. test ran smooth and within 10minutes, i was done and i PASSED! woohoo.

Work later that day was quite busy actually. Probably because it was quite hot and humid in the morning. The rest of the night was very quiet which was good as it gave me time to clean up the store! :)

Today was the first day of my work experience at the SCDC. I was quite nervous and excited at the same time as i had no idea what to expect. When i rocked up, vivian and shelley got me set up and before i know it, i was dumped with quite a few things to do. Making me do admin things and research and write an article all in one day. it was pretty crazy considering i have not read or written any sort of scientific thing since last year. But amazingly i managed to finished it at the end of the day. whether it was any good is another question though. it definitely wasn't my best written material but what can i do, over the holidays, my writing has been a bit rusty.

but anyway, tomorrow's street team training day 2 so that should be fun! i cant wait. and then another night out with henry! :) i should get sleeep. i dont particularly like waking really early.

night.
