My name's alanna and I am a university student studying psychology. I like spontaneity and am somewhat a hopeless romantic. I love to sing and I believe being confident and positive is the key to a successful and happy life.

wow, who knew, in a blink of an eye, a lot has happened.
1. i went to stereosonic
2. i turned 20
3. i went to europe over new years and christmas
4. i got a promotion at work

I dont even know where to begin. i wanted to keep a travel journal over my europe trip but unfortunately the tour was go go go so i had no time to just stop and look back. although i did take quite a few photos that i can use as reference of my fabulous journey there.

first off, just a quick note about stereosonic. it was my first music festival ever and it was the first time they had it over 2 whole days. it was absolutely amazing. best experience ever. i'm glad i chose to go at the last minute and thanks to michelle for selling her ticket to me! I had so much fun and the atmosphere is outta this world! the acts were so good and yeah, it was just the time of my life!

Also i am officially 20 years of age. I can't believe it. i have lived 2 decades already yet i still feel like a little kid on the inside. i really dont want to grow up anymore. the first 20 years of my life was great and i love every moment of it, and I have a feeling my twenties will be even more amazing! I spend my 20th birthday in monaco, monte carlo. The view there was amazing, not to mention seeing all them rich ferraris and lamborghinis. I even got a birthday cake which was very cute and i spend it with 44 other tour members.

Europe was AMAZING. It is so culturally and historically rich which is very different compared to Australia. Most people there were very nice despite not knowing their language. We got a taste of about 11 countries some as small as Vatican City. We got blessed by the pope on Christmas day, i attended midnight mass, we all made a wish with coins at the Trevi Fountain, walked the red light district at Amsterdam, travelled through the canals of Venice via gondolas, visited ruins of Pompeii and Olympia, tasted all different types of european food and had a snow fight with the kids at Mount Titlis in Lucerne, Switzerland. Although we did not have a chance to see snow fall, it was definitely my most memorable trip of my life. We had to pay to go to public toilets, we had to pay for water at restaurants, sometimes, even more expensive than a beer or wine. I wish that the tour never ended but unfortunately it did and now I'm back at home, back to reality. 

Just as i had gotten off the plane in Sydney, i turned my phone on, it definitely felt good to finally have reception again and internet regardless where i was. To my surprise, I received an email from work saying that I was going to be a Team Leader. I was SO SHOCKED! and at the same time, SO HAPPY. what better way to be welcomed back into sydney with a promotion at work. That definitely made my day. So I shall begin training for that role this week which is going to be extra exciting! I hope I dont screw anything up. 

So thats a quick snap shot of what has happened these past 2 months. Ive still got another month of holidays to go before uni begins again. Oh and my sister got into my uni! she'll be studying criminology and criminal justice so yeah, we'll see how she goes.

Ive got a boring start to this week with nothing planned til thursday and friday but when those days come, it'll be pretty packed. got work, interview, sister's birthday, chinese new year and my cousins wedding so that'll be interesting. but until then,
