My name's alanna and I am a university student studying psychology. I like spontaneity and am somewhat a hopeless romantic. I love to sing and I believe being confident and positive is the key to a successful and happy life.

alrighty, so this week has been probably the busiest week ive had ever since i came back from overseas. in other words, ive been out everyday this week, mostly to uni. 

so sunday, i went out with christina and vincent to catch and to try the grounds of alexandria for the first time. Its basically a very popular cafe in sydney and i could tell, considering we had to wait almost 45 minutes just to get seated. But it was definitely worth it. I got the breakfast burger and it was delicious! large portions which is good and i also got an apple cider which was better than i expected!

The following day I had a whole day of peer mentor training where we met a few other psychology students who are also going to be peer mentors for the new first years coming in this year. We learnt all about communication and listening and how to enhance them. tbh, it wasnt all that stimulating but nonetheless endurable. free lunch is always a bonus!

Then on tuesday and wednesday i had work. In fact, on wednesday it was my first shift ever in which i had to close myself as a fully fledged team leader. It was a little nerve racking but I had to believe in myself and trust that i know what i was doing. And turns out i did a fabulous job! but i definitely can't take all the credit! my co-worker Maddy did contribute a lot and considering she's also a team leader but has only been trained to open the store, she knows what to look for when she comes in, in the morning so that definitely helped me. I know it will get easier from here so I can't wait. not to mention good moolah. ;)

Finally today, thursday, i attended the Arc Street Team Training Day 1 where we met all the other street teamers for the first time. it was quite overwhelming, having to learn another 40 or so new names and faces but im excited to and we have all semester so there was no rush. As tradition, we each got into groups and choreographed a dance that we performed later on the rest of the team which is very hilarious and obviously very fun. I definitely can't wait for the semester to come and what we have to give as a team. 

Tomorrow, being Valentines Day, another day of work unfortunately, hopefully it wont be too busy so i can get out asap. 

So I'm sure almost everyone who owns a smartphone has heard of the newest sensation in addictive games/apps. Of course, i'm talking about Flappy Bird. My highscore being 56. I heard its been taken down from the App store just recently so im very glad that i got it before it was deleted. but yes, its very addictive, very frustrating and very simple.



That's all i wanted to say in terms of my week. Next week is another doozy with a few days of work at Boost, going for my green Ps test (fingers crossed), Street Team Training Day 2 and also I'm going to be starting my work experience at Sydney Cognitive Development Centre as well. Many exciting things happening next week and i shall let you on the low down next week.

The week after that is oweek which will be heaps cray cray for me too so yeah. yay! i love being busy! its tiring but at least its better than staying at home and doing nothing. Anyway, enough of me rambling.
